Rejection

I have a problem, you see.

There’s a girl I want

But she doesn’t want me.

I give her my soul, my secrets,

I give her everything

I give her my life.

All I ever wanted was to look into her eyes

And know she loved me.
Like stars in the skies

We twinkled, we were free

Now, I know she doesn’t love me

Not today, not ever

I’m not surprised.

I’ll never be good enough for her.

Not good enough for her

If only she heard my cries
