Repeat ...

Ecclesiastes 1:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

That which has been is what will be,
That which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun.

Repeat

Having all you can do ... close to overloaded.

Doing the best you can ... on the street called fatality.

In inheriting a deep piercing ... in the expression of the goaded

where the level of expectation ... brings depression’s finality.

As you can give it now ... distributed in small portions.

Quality diminishing through artificial light

Only a ghost now left ... of original intentions,

fighting feeble skirmishes ... in the loss of what is right.

Never recognizing defeat ... as the war is history.

Not even one battle shows ... the cost you overpaid.

An endless repeat of lasting human misery

that makes the “good” rattle ... in dimensions called “afraid”.
