Saying Goodbye to My Significant Other

Dear School,

I've had my fair share of hardships because of you,

the all nighters, the constant stress, and the looming fear of life

I've had my fair share of happy moments because of you,

like the first time I stayed after until nine in the night, when we just sat upstairs during a tournament talking,

goofing off while no one said anything, and the amount of love I received.

I've had my fair share of depressing moments becuase of you,

when I realized how dumb I was and how stupid you made me feel.

Sometimes all I needed was twenty seconds of insane courage to notice that something great might come from this.

One day, I will walk away, but only time will tell.

Time has a funny way of fading everything, only just awhile ago I couldn't bear the thought of leaving

but now, when I graduate I will

miss those hallways, the comfort and safety.

All I know is that if anything is going to break my heart,

my sense of safety and comfort,

I want it to be you.

Thank you for all the memories you will ever give me.

Love,

         A high student.
