Searching for Clarity

Location

It hurts me to breath, it hurts me to weep
In silence we all bear this tragedy
We hold tight to our babies
Our family and friends
As our hearts fall to pieces
for twenty lives left unlived.

Some turn to God to answer their pleas,
some search for faith in the world that they see.
The answers won’t satisfy
The questions remain
The world will keep turning
But we won’t be the same

We’ll think of the pain these families endured
The unthinkable is suddenly unthinkable no more
Lay to rest twenty children, robbed of their lives
Hope for some peace in the coming, cold nights.
