Self control
Ephesians 4:7-8 New English Translation
7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he captured captives; he gave gifts to men.”
Self-control
To esteem the superior gifts one receives from God
Are inspired by the natural desire that roams within us
As most desires are the springs of our many undertakings
It does not always guarantee that Godliness directs us
Possibly quite the opposite can drive us in directions
Where godliness would never go as the natural controls
The gifts received from God through the super-natural
Then get used by us to proceed for our own goals
In a spiritual walk, nothing is too small to hinder progress
Godliness is like love Himself engrained in every detail
He who acts on impulse depends on his own strength
Through impulsive actions, we are always bound to fail
Scarcely one is in the Will of God in all things that we do
God does not take pleasure in what we do for ourselves
The Lord’s time is important as is His Will sublime
We should not act rashly and beget an Ismael‘s wishing well
Self-justification is a common symptom among emotional Christians
The Lord wishes His people to commit all matters into His Hands
He does not like our habits to defend ourselves without submission
All He wants is obedience and the realization of where we stand
