SHADOWBOXER

Bad things chasing me around,

Anguished they shout out her fate.

Darkness hiding many faces,

Leading her to mystic places.

She understands without a clue,

She's not the dream that lives in you.

She hides her love inside of me,

In places you could never see.

I'll never show it in my heart,

Here's to dreaded time apart.

The voice that shook away the fear,

Within the shadows so unclear.

Beings of a love so deep,

Wounded sorrows slowly seep.

Alone I suffer, softly weep,

Of passions that we cannot keep.

Maybe someday, for today won't last,

I'll leave your life and leave it fast.

There is one feeling available to me,

As I set the shadowboxer free.
