A simple gift

Psalm 126:5

Those who plant in tears
will harvest with shouts of joy.

Flowers in the sunshine … crying in the mist

Absorbing joy and grief in their day of existence

An everlasting rhyme … a moment to exist

to bring me peace ... with natural persistence

A simple gift of God for my enjoyment

A simple reminder when death knocks at the door

Beauty I forgot ... in my bereavement

To remove the blinders and lift me of the floor

Without complaining ... they labor in their beauty

To brighten my day a bit ... and I seem to ignore it

Simply proclaiming that people can be futile

And there is more to life ... than just to adore it
