Sixty Five Roses

Location

Highway 15 1872
United States

Sixty five roses lain on a stone
Sixty five roses all painted purple
Sixty five tears rolling down the cheeks of loved ones
Sixty five roses
A child barely breathing,
Coughing up phlegm and blood
Barely a baby, but near the end of life
Sixty five roses in a child's hands
A child barely making it
A genetic mutation,
Punishing an innocent child
Sixty five roses
A pair of lungs
Fighting to breathe
A heart, just barely holding on
Muscles weakening
Clubbed fingers
Sixty five roses
All lain in a row
Sixty five roses
All in a bush
A child barely making it,
Carrying an oxygen tank
Just so they can breathe
A child coughing
Too much phlegm in the lungs
Bursting blood vessels in the lungs
Barely nutritioned
Having to do physio everyday
A child fighting,
Tires of struggling
Sixty Five Roses
