Slam Behind The Curtain

I used to wake up in the morning

Wondering, how to fit in

I would hide behind my curtain

Of conformity

Doing what people told me

And agreeing with what they said

But then

In the midst of maturity

I realized why I matter

And why I matter, to me

So I stepped outside

Of that miserable place

Tired of hurtin'

And man, I have to say

Life's so much better

When you step out from that curtain
