The Sleek Rose

Location

Alluring and fair does the sleek Rose stand,

3.       And  it’s sweet white shawl wrapped around its head

4.       It rests lonely atop a piece of land

5.        As if to beckon one to its own bed.

6.       The callow hand that reaches for it then

Gets stabbed—a thorn piercing in the finger

7.       And he who gets trapped in its wicked den

8.       Feels a pain that does far worse than linger.

A cut so deep it brings men to their knees

9.       Far more dangerous than the sirens’ song

10.    A storm more chaotic than in the seas.

11.    Because its something terribly more strong

a.       The shawl is now soaked in the amorous  blood

b.       Using the body as a nourishing mud.
