Something

Mundane one day

Fast paced the next.

Life is simple, easy, unextraordinary

'Til it's not.

Then it's hectic.

Heart-wrenching.

One day things are bland and the next

Something else.

Something is going to test your values,

Force you to question

Everything you once believed,

And maybe even shatter your foundations.

And then what?

Because it's clear now,

the pieces don't fit together like they once did,

Simply, easily, unextraordinarily.

No

The pieces are mangled and warped and wrong

Try as you might, they don't fit together anymore

And what's left?

A mess
