Lights out, the show is over, there she stands
Four years and waiting, a persistent fool
Once again he rushes towards her command
False hope and stubbornness, Fate why so cruel?
Again he tries to relight the dying flame
Only to be burned, thus starts his relapse
“Goodbye,” she said, gone as quick as she came
Singing to empty bottles till he collapsed
“Although I can’t love you as a lover…
I’ll love you as a friend,” last words on stage
Bloody, his corpse for her to discover
Three words he should have said lost in the pages

One lesson, never fall for your best friend
Love is a two way street not a dead end.
