A SONNET ON PARADISE

By the swift shore I am lost,

The wave, it seduces me into its arm,

A current of emotion I have come across,

A simple drift of alarm.

For I have noticed I am parting from the norm,

When in the current I am drawn back,

And there appears a beautiful form,

And with warmth it did attack,

While all along the sun did set

Upon my eyes, I’ve seen no other,

I’ve known you before we met.

 You’re my friend, my lover.

I’ll forever sail the sea,

For with you is where I want to be.
