Sounds of a Storm

Thu, 07/17/2014 - 12:54 -- JFrance

Shhh! Can you hear that, it’s the calm before the storm

The final I love before the breakup comes along

Peace and quite and then

Whoosh! the great gust of wind

Forcing thought windows like a bully in the night

Waking a boy with a terrible fright

Flash! What was that?

That bright light, blinding everything in my sigh

Out of bed came the boy at the age of three

When the door flew open he gave out a shriek

The came the BOOM BOOM

Like a loud bass drum

Thor and Zeus are having a party, now their spilling the rum

Drip Drip it falls at first

Now it pours down quenching mother earth’s thirst

That poor little boy was at the door

There was a flash again, and he was no more

Woooo! Woooo! the wind howls as it passes through doors

But this is not the end look there is more

As wretched waves wash away debris on the beach

Taking everything like a cunning thief

That poor little boy ran to beach to save what he can

Not knowing that this would be his final stand

Everything on the beach the ocean will be devoured

Then it will spit out if it is a little sour

That poor child at the age of three

He has been devoured and digested into the sea

The noise dies down

The party is over

Zeus and Thor will try to get sober

Again came the stillness, the quite as the on lookers watched

Mouths are left open, eyes filled with tears

Wondering how something that once was, could no longer be there

The stillness has stopped because of yelling on the ground

Yelling for a boy that will never be found
