Suddenly You’re Falling

All of a sudden you’re falling

You’re running a marathon, free like a bird, but then all of a sudden you’re falling.

You’re wiping up your pools of tears to pretend you were never crying, but then all of a sudden you’re falling.

The friend you’d trust with anything just said they’re moving on, that you weren’t enough for them to stay and just like that, all of a sudden you’re falling.

You’re picking up the pieces of your heart that’s made of glass. Searching for the remnants that are littered in the grass and even though your hand is bleeding, all of a sudden you’re falling.

Someone said they loved you, but left you here alone. Trying to find your purpose and searching for some hope. You think you’ll never find it and you’re ready to give up. You’ve taken all the beatings, will it ever be enough? All of a sudden you’re falling.

When you think you’re safe you’re falling

When you run away you’re falling

You begin to plead and beg

Will you ever stop falling?

You close your eyes and let go

And suddenly you sprout wings.
