A Tale of Friendship

Hello big old oak tree

Any chance you might remember me

Little me beneath your many arms

I bet you can see a lot from up there

I could see the world if I were up there

I'd climb right up if you'd invite me

Won't you ask me over

We can talk about the past

We can look out for the future

And we can cry together

If it isn't looking too good

Or if you won't share your view

I'll just invite you to come with me

We can journey my way

We'll see all the same things

We just have to walk there first

Or we could fly

Have you ever been on a plane?

I get it

You don't like to move

Or talk

Then you can stay right there

And I can sit right here

And we can be friends

And we can just be silent
