Ten Seconds

Ten Seconds

There are six, ten seconds in a minute. Three thousand six hundred seconds

in an hour- three hundred and sixty, ten seconds.

Every minute, six animals are abused.

Every hour, three hundred and sixty animals hurt .

Fear, pain, anger, lost trust, forgotten love, abandoned happiness

This can be a reality for animals abused and

neglected.

No room to move, no space for the nine breeding beagles.

When freed from their prison, they take ten minutes to meet their new

friends:

sunshine and grass.

A TV remote or a belt is an enemy.

Cali must hide under covers for safety, being as small as she can be.

Cali didn’t want to be one of the million pets that die each year from abuse

She needed help. She needed hope.

She was one of many who were abused. But she was saved. Rescued by a loving

family and now healing from her past.

Those like Cali can be saved. We can be their help and restore their hope.

There are six, ten seconds in a minute. Three thousand six hundred seconds

in an hour- three hundred and sixty, ten seconds
