Time Has No Mercy

It flows as endless waves in the ocean

An unconquered, ceaseless melancholy

It tames and takes our lives, leaves us broken

Inherent to pass, time has no mercy

We, marked by death at birth, detest our fate

Consummated by end, we tread with dread

Patience sways us yet tomorrow can't wait

We wander a path knowing soon we're dead

And yet what is life but to desire hope

Our choice, yes we die but we too may live

In minding the past we learn then to cope

Time never stops, thus life is what it gives

We needn't dispair nor fear tomorrow

For time too grants us joy not just sorrow
