Too much, Too little

Sunlight directly shining in your eyes can be blinding

Tornadoes’ wind power can harm more than just bones

Roaring waters bearing down on you can make you drown

Too much of anything can be dangerous to the mind and soul, even love

Love can lock you away in your home, counting the days of isolation

Love can leave you stranded with only your demons to hold

Love can make you laugh, hurt, fear, and cry

Love can blind, break, and destroy everything if you have too much

Yet a plant without any sunlight will not grow

A day without wind leaves air with no purpose

Droughts leave people parched and helpless

Too little of anything can be dangerous to the mind and soul, even love

No love can feel like you deserve nothing and everything

No love can affect you and others surrounding you

No love can make you sad, angry, and confused

No love can crush your soul until you are no more

I know too much love is too much

I know too little love is too little

I know I need someone worthy of me

I know I deserve better

Because I love you I will treat you with respect

Because I love you I will have faith in you

Because I love you I will be honest

Because I love you I will grow as an individual for better, not for worse

Because you love me you will treat me with respect

Because you love me you will have faith in me

Because you love me you will be honest

Because you love me you will grow as an individual for better, not for worse

Because we love and share and grow we can last a lifetime happy and healthy and be who we are

That’s love
