Twinkle Lights

I sit alone on my dorm-room bed

Surrounded by these twinkle lights.

Passed my math test,

But feel like a failure.

I sit with my roommate on my dorm-room bed

Surrounded by these bright twinkle lights.

She failed her science test,

But she feels like a winner.

I am alone again. On this bed.

The twinkle lights have dimmed.

They're going to go out soon.

The tunnel is getting longer.
