Voices of Nature

O'er the mountain,

Under gray sky,

An eagle calls,

I hear his cry.

O'er the mountain,

Doves mourn and cry,

Sit and listen,

As they all sigh.

The creatures chatter,

Softly 'neath trees.

I hear voices,

On a soft breeze.

Fox tells her story,

Hare wants to sail,

Larkspur hails song;

I hear their tale.
