Walls and judgment

Ecclesiastes 3:17 New English Translation (NET Bible)

17 I thought to myself, “God will judge both the righteous and the wicked;
for there is an appropriate time for every activity,
and there is a time of judgment for every deed.

Dream on: The night is fleeting and moving at the speed of thought.

It won’t be long before the trumpets announce the finality of an era gone.

Walls of our constant beating in the investments we so often sought

All beds of ease so woven are destined to fall, at last, be forgone.

Power descending from up high from far beyond our comprehension

As to slippery uncertain ropes, most everyone will try to hang on.

In the constant wonder of “why?” in waist-deep past pretension

In their chosen absurdity and hope that judgment will move on.
