Watchman

Ezekiel 3:17

17 “Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must give them a warning from me.

 Watchman

Who is the watchman in this place ... who is now on guard?

Can I rest some peacefully ... when the battle rages?

My natural man is quite a foe ... who directly attacks the heart.

A foot gained here, a mile lost there ... carved on history’s pages.

Who will come inside of me ... Who will protect my mind?

Who will secure my life ... that I so easily give away?

Who for goodness sake ... will secure me from myself?

I am here to self-destroy ... and I do that every day?

Blind as a bat I go through life ... direction found by instinct.

Not knowing where I’ll wind up in the imaginations of my mind.

Truth is an imaginary thought... within the structure of my being,

out of my grasp, not recognized ... disabled I can’t find.
