Water's Deafening Edge

A boy jumps into a pool of water.

Overwhelmed by the constant voices,

he engulfs himself in cool, clear liquid.

The boy looks through the water at the sky,

It is torn by jagged beams from the sun,

the sunbeams slice across the water's edge.

Small air bubbles escape from the boy's lips,

Eyes open he watches the bubbles rise.

One bubble, two bubble, three bubble, POP.

The boy needs air but waits for something more.

He is waiting for clearer life meanings,

Why must the bully attack the more weak?

Why must my parents fight over money?

Why must I be depressed with my teen life?

He dreamed of so much more and now needs it.

The boy spreads out his long, eagle-like wings,

propelling upwards he breaks the surface.

No crystal clear meanings found down below,

just a breath exercise and swimmer's ear.
