We Are The Same

Is it because the color of my skin that makes me different from you
Blind to the fact, that statement is not true
Living in a society with stereotypes that's suppose to be clues
For everyone else to understand and able to fit in their shoes
But then lose the individuality because everyone judges you as a group
So what more can I do, when racism and sexism seems like a rule
Breaking dawn and it's time to voice out our plot
To all this hate in the world that needs to stop
We need to stop all this violence and et our difference aside
Thinking we are safe but the cops never on our side
Taking some of lives because the racism in their eyes
We have to set up, fight for what's right instead of cry
Cause in order to change this society
We have to change our mentality
Step away from the racism and walk into equality
I'm your brother regardless skin or sex
The only thing that comes next is we unite as one to protect our nest
Girls be a lady that's how you earn respect
Your mind and heart is beautiful and intelligent so don't give people what they expect
Change lives with your voice, not with the clothes off your back
Show the world that your more then a pretty face and that intelligence is something you don't lack
Black is beautiful just as if any other
We all are one no matter color
Stand up and fight for what's right
Killing and defining each other doesn't open the door to a better life
So let's regain sight and make the this life a story we can be proud o tell the next generation at the end of each night
