Web of Lies

My life a web of lies

As each year goes by

Another knot of anger

I thought I was digging up the truth about my past,

But instead I dug my grave

The questions are the shovle

Digging for answers

That may not be waiting

Below the surface of the earth

The lies are the cold dirt that keepsbuilding up and up

It’s what’s burying me alive

And now knowing the truth

Is putting me six feet below the ground

The truth about my past is etched in a headstone

A weight upon my shoulders.
