What is freedom?

What is freedom?

A billion hands shoot up like missiles to impose opinion.

They don't know what freedom is.  The idea is there, but the engineering is wrong.  The wheels turning in their brains powered by the hamsters fed with lies that keep them opressed.

"Surely freedom is what we have now," they say, but if freedom is what we truly had, why are we still gasping for air that doesn't belong to us and why is the seething heat under my skin shot down in an attempt to paste sparkles over the shit all around us?

This is not kindergarden, where a few extra dashes of icing can make everything seem better, right.

No, we do not have freedom.  We are merely numbed into submission with satisfactory things that were once deprived to hide the true misery of what is just beyond our reach.

One could run out in the streets protesting for love and be met wiith the curtiously sweet kisses of bullet peppering.

One could announce great news of peace spreading and be yanked down for execution.

No, we do not see freedom.  Can you answer the call of kindness to someone  standing up when there is fear of misused "lawful force"?  Tell me what you could do if someone was wrongly massacred by the giants bought to "protect" us, but who only ensnare us?

We are jerked around by the puppet strings woven by our captors.

No, we do not know freedom.  Freedom is being able to stretch your wings and be yourself without the judgemental glares of enforcement.

F-R-E-E is NOT LIKELY

No, freedom does not exist.
