What True Friends are Really For

I once was found with many of them,

many friends that were fun to be around, fun to talk to, and fun to hang out with.

None of them were close though.

I couldn't turn to them when sad, hurt, or alone.

I couldn't tell them what was on my mind, or what I was feeling deep inside.

Now I have less friends then I did before, but the end result was worth the heartsore.

For they are really here for the goods and bads, that may come my way and are instore.

And that's what true friends are really for.
