Why can't they see me?

Those people over there

They walk past as if they know

how far I have to go

to hide within my mind

My mind races

across a thousand miles

before I find what I can say

and this consumes my day

Why can't they see me?

I'm standing right here

No one will notice me

and this is what I fear

I fear no one will notice me

because I can not be who I want to be

for I will be judged if I show my true self

because I do not have fame, popularity or wealth

And to this thought I regress back into isolation

where the only harsh jugement will come from me alone

this is where I started

Irreparably on my own
