Why in the world do we fight
Does it make someone feel safe like they are carrying a safety light
Brother and sister they bicker between on another
To see who is better this one or the other

It's like we have no point in life
So we threaten another person with a knife
Just so we can get money for drugs
These people just act like bugs

So the fighting must continue for what
It's doing nothing but digging ourselves in a rut
But alas we continue to do so
But why would anyone would do this do you know

Some people fight with others so much
Then those people even jump if they are touched
Even these people commit suicide
Because they had thought there was no point in being alive

There are people who are out there
Who fight just like a bear
They keep us free and safe
But the conditions they are in are unsafe

These people are soldiers of National Defense
And they sleep in tents behind a fence
These people are fight for a good cause
Just like the police created laws

So remember should we fight amongst ourselves
so leave people alone and let them be themselves
So as you stare at your roof at night
Ask yourself why do we fight
