I write because it's my way to express the feelings locked up inside

I write because it's how i know and feel i'm still alive

The reasons i write are all my own it's how I say what i can't speak

It's my voice to express how I want and no longer feel so weak

Writing is my hobby, the thing that keeps me sane

Asking me why I write is like asking why I dance

It's a form of expression from deep in the soul

And keeps me together it keeps me whole

Poetry is expression through words and this is why I write

It's one way for me to express my feelings and it always feels so right

Poetry is a way of life that makes me feel loved and warm

A way to share the feelings inside and make me feel less torn
