The World

Every day someone and something in life changes,
if it's someone you know, or just someone going through certain stages.
From drugs and alcohol, to racism, abuse, and teen pregnancy,
why is there war when its just something we don't need.
The bullies at school and the children telling parents lies,
how do we think this world is better when every second someone dies?
What happened to our taking care of the world when we could all believe in ourselves,
now everyone is following the crowd when they should stand out instead of being like someone else.
When friends try to get you to do stuff and you don't know what to do,
even if alcohol and drugs help you forget the moment, it's not worth something slowly killing you.
You should be surrounded by the ones that actually care,
and stop hiding yourself, be who you are when no one else is there.
Cause when you look in the mirror at yourself, you know you don't want this,
because even when there are bad things in the world, think of the good things you might miss.
Rather growing up to find love or to make something of yourself,
as long as you believe in you, your just as good as anyone else.
Even if you aren't the best, at least you tried and had fun,
which sounds better then looking back telling yourself what you should have done.
This world isn't the best place, but its a life lesson here that you get,
So I hope you're someone who stops what they do to try and help save it.
