The World Today

We used to be in chains, as slaves

Wondering if we would make it through the next days.

Then we have rights,

But that don’t stop the racial fights.

We are hated from day to day,

We were even forced to work for nearly no pay.

Martin Luther King was a good man, like Michael Jackson

We miss you our Peter Pan.

Here we are living this life,

Everyday we encounter more strife.

The Constitution says we all are equal,

I didn’t know that didn’t mean black people.

Terrorist in the U.S. are all around,

Yes if you are black they will frown

No I am not saying black people are perfect,

I’m just trying to tell you violence isn’t worth it.

They don’t care about if you will live,

If you are homeless under a rock they still wont give.

No I am not hating,

I am just demonstrating.

The World Today is messed up,

All you racist haters need to shut up.

I am tired of being over looked,

This world is so shook.

The World Today is coming to an end,

So is my story, cause this the end.

Try love, keep writing, keep fighting, Try love with control, instead of anger lest you be in danger of losing your soul.
You fight for what is right, but you don't keep your anger in the blind sight. Martin Luther King was also mistreated,
but with love and non-violence it how racism laws were defeated. From now on let love be the way your poetry is completed.
