Worlds Apart, Not in Heart

Abrasively said

I let all your talk go to my head

Then you left my soul without life, dead

Crushing my heart

The palpitations lighter and lighter

My blood has fled

Like a massive organization

Now I’m operating in the red

Spin the day’s dial for time heals…

The scorching, sun sulks across the sky

Thousands are revolting and asking God “why?”

Camouflage saviors, intimidating behaviors

There is no flawless answer, it’s a matter of favor

The young love has another scar

While turmoil broils across the guard

A rose for passion, a dove for peace

Will either’s pain ever cease?

What’s close to home is here and now

My soul’s focus is pain and sorrow

The conflict’s resolution is buried deep

We will both earnestly harrow

In search of relief, in hope for a better tomorrow

The dial will continue to spin

Tick…tock the arm and hand

Steady as it spins, some moments endless and others prick like a pin
