You ask me to write a poem about myself, how I look, how I feel

Well here it goes, this is me and for starters- I am real.

I have had so many falls, so many breaks, so many tears,

But through each one, I’ve learned a lot on how to face my fears.

People say- you’re wrong, you’re dumb, you’re weird, you’re fat, you’re fake,

But I am here to tell something that no bully, person or “friend” can ever take.

You are ENOUGH,

That’s right, you heard me, you’re enough even when times are rough.

Things get tough, life gets hard it will seem to be never-ending,

So we judge ourselves, on good or bad, and save the hate mail we are sending.

This hate mail, is tucked away and displays all our mess-ups,

But one thing that this mail forgets to tell us is that we are ALWAYS enough.

The words “You are Enough” are ones that seem so simple, so easy,

They remind me how hard I’ve worked, how good I feel and how I am the genuine me.

There is no one else out there that is anything like you,

We all have hardships, we all fall down, but we all get back up too.

So, I hope that when you are sad, depressed or feeling like the worst,

You think of those 3 simple words, and remember life is a blessing not a curse.
