at the rough times
of my high school
photogenically speaking
my memory was crystal clear
when you were here
you were always there to root for me
support in all i did
you were always so strong educationally and realistically
you put my problems on yours
at 1st, i use to see you as an unwanted shadow
casting on my life for no reason
i now see it as you helping me walk
through the journey that lead to my graduation
a milestone for any young person
a time when i can reflect and look back
to only be dazzle on how much one can learn
she always gave me respect in which i had to earn
even when i was a troubled teen
walking through broken streets
that was covered in glass and crack needles
i walked
at times, i would stumble through the cracks on the ground
the uneven sidewalks
you helped me to see the unseen
what i needed, you were able to give
i thank you for helping me walk on my own
it lead me to graduate (on time)
