A love for pain
My kindness is my poison
And hiding under my skin—
Everybody tells me to run
So I run towards you.
I can't pretend to be normal
Because if you crumble me like a wrapper
And throw me in the garbage
I’ll assume it was because you felt like the bin,
And wanted to be closer to me.
I'll protect you from the world
Telling you not to hide
But it's clear that I was the one hiding—
And it was from you.
I see your bruises,
And your brain and heart
And that's why I'll love you
I see your greed
And your lust and anger
And that's why I'll hate you
But most of all
I see myself
And that's why I don't hate you
But always hate loving you.
