Aberration Today

Gossips forsake my name, While sly eyes butcher and abash. Down on my shoulder I feel the dawn of my shame. Tomorrow calls out With a voice of horror. I ask you, gentlemen, Of the view and moral. What's the discovery? For it's way too cruel. What about the wrong deed? Well, it's supposedly plural. Yesteryear shines upon, With her merciful curls And eminent smiles That starts to turn Into the ones With disdain and burn. Something calls out again. Something closer than never. Someone knocks me awake, And then I start to shiver. Ought to be crucified! Ought to be crucified! Juror behind! Juror behind! Suddenly: Knock, knock, knock! Rumbling fear Heaving through my chest. Knock, knock, knock! Time has come, Debts to pay the rest. Trembling tips of my Guilty fingers reach: Clutching the knob, Twisting with a creak. Gates of Heaven or Gates of Hell? Angel of mercy or The devil to kill? Heyday, I say! Heyday, I shout! But it doesn't escape, Not out of my mouth. Her drowning eyes, Cast upon me. Not with revenge Nor with heat. Persisting it was, Silence then speaks: Broken by her lips Uttering so weak. Vowels that fall out, Unheard in a while. Symphony it seemed Turning me a child. Words it makes itself, Dictating my fate. Upon which eyes swell, Tears to inundate. I reply: Ephemeral, are you? Or Eternity? Speak, do speak— My lovely fidelity!
