Africa

Location

Will the lion's roar,

Be heard forevermore?

Or will it fade into the distance,

Like the music of a past African dance?

Will the elephants still tread,

the paths they've memorized in their heads?

Or will the poachers finally go too far

In this, the ivory war?

Will the giraffes, antelope, zebra and buffalo,

Still go to the watering hole to wallow;

And always eat upon the grasslands of the Savannah,

Fighting for life among lions, leopards, and hyenas?

What will happen to this beautiful land of Africa?

Will it and its animals die out in this era?

Or can we save its beauty and grace?

I wonder, which will be the case?
