All Was Well

There was a girl

Who saw nothing as it truly was,

And all was well.

Everday she sang.

Sang for joy.

Sang for love.

There was a girl

She began seeing thingss for as they were,

And all was swell.

She was growing up.

Sometimes she sang.

For happiness.

For freedom.

There was a girl

Who saw everything as it was

All was not well.

For she saw everything as it was

And it destroyed her.

There was society

Who shielded themselves from as things were.

And shamed people for being themselves.

And scar by scar

There was a girl

Who was ruined.

She used to sing for love

She yearned for happiness.

One day she ceased to sing.

All was well.
