Alligator, Alligator

Alligator, alligator

O hidden devil of the Everglades

Feared by many

Murderor of children

And various other small creatures

Crooked toothy smiles

Slurping in the swamps

Bubbling under the murky, stagnant

Waters of mud

Beady slitted eyes

Searching for prey

Somehow you remind me of a politician

This poem is about:
My country
