Are you deaf?
I may just seem like another class clown, scribbling words in class because I have to.
But I notice things, things you're to preoccupied to handle.
I hear things, I see things,
I feel things.
I hear the ignorance from the back of the class.
"You better shut the fuck up before I beat your big ass."
I see things, like the middle finger and the dirty smirk he throws at her.
I feel things, like the anger and the digust I don't act on until after.
How in the world, Wyly, do you not hear, see, and feel the things I do?
Are you blind? Are you numb?
Are you deaf?
Dammit Wyly, stop being a pushover and do something!
But wait.
You seem to think sending him the hall will teach him his lesson.
It's not middle school. and there a more teachers in the world you seem think you're the best in.
Give him the pink slip. Send him to the office. He deserves it.
But he knows you won't do anything, you're a pushover.
So he annoys and threatens, screams and harasses her like he'll be her future lover.
She hates it, and begs me for help. She only has to survive the year, then she's back to Denmark.
I can't do anything because you shut me down when I open my mouth.
So he sits there eyeing her like they'd end up on Noah's Ark
together, but she can't stop it.
She has no choice, she's and exchange student.
I don't either, I was taught to respect my elders.
But my question is, why do you deserve it?
There's so much shit I wish I could say to you, but it's not my place to serve it.
