There was a time when I was a tree

A big, sturdy tree, a tree that was made from the skies

to send a message from the angels to help the world become more beautiful

The fall had started and fall I did

I stood tall while my trunk started to be kicked,

While my branches started to be climbed on.

I am a tree. I am something. I would say.

They came and painted me with vulgar words and hatred among my trunk,

for each word they tore a twig off my lovely branches, for each sneer they would burn my branches in front of me.

                   I am a tree..I am something..I would say.

The day turned to night as a light shined on me, they have attacked in my weakest moment for I cannot see in this neverending darkness.

My leaves were slowly torn off while sinister laughter replaced them.

I am growing weak, please stop.

  I am  a tree...I am something...I would say.

A fence was built around me as my fellow trees tried to help.

    I feel trapped.

    I feel scared.

I feel nervous. When will they come back?

The fence was torn down, my safe place was gone.

The winter had come and I had gone for they burned my trunk and watched in amusement.

Ashes lay, and one leaf floats, still alive, but wishing it would die.

I am a leaf. I am nothing. I now say.
