Ascending From Darkness

Mon, 06/27/2016 - 18:47 -- debada

My star. My vice. My right.

It’s sweet breeze of calm draws the sullen and weary to its flow

Its unparalleled movement rescues the fallen leaf from its place of disparity

What a warm embrace for thy dying piece of nature!

Its constant drifting has been seized and it's depression understood

Why the leaf was confused of its initial predicament!

The young leaflet had grown at the end of branch away from its clustered brothers

It endured the harsh winds and had grown weary from its continued stance

Oh why wind! Why are you displeased with me!

It's grim gale was an oppressive force on its fragile being

Whipping and battering the confused little leaflet

The small creation had finally had enough!

The leaf grew limp and descended towards the black bottom of nothing

But its plunge towards darkness had been halted!

Why...it had been seized!

The leaflet was swept into the affable folds of untold imagination!

Its confusion was soothed by wafts of empathy

The leaflet had finally found its place!

And in the arms of benevolence,

what better place of standing could there be?

Of course, the leaflets amble will still continue,

But the manner in which it will do so has been changed
