"Beauty"

What's wrong with our world

Is what we first see

We judge each other based on

Something only skin deep

We fail to look past

What's only proven to be true

We fail to look past

The mirror we look into

We think beauty is something

that people define for us

We think beauty is something

that's only on the outside

and somehow that's the "real" us

Why can't we see

That our beauty comes from within

That only we can define

And without proving it to them

Our beauty moves deep

Right into our soul

Finding every single part

That no one really knows

It shows us who we are

and the person we can be

If only we chose

to live out of conformity

They can't tell you who you are

Or who you're to become

Based on your looks

And the beauty they've defined

And if you think they do

You should probably reevaluate

Because you are so much more

Than a size, age or weight
