Being

There is no day that goes by

I feel angry with the world

I sit quietly in my room

I pray for a better tomorrow…

How would my life be

Without fear and sadness?

How would it feel to be

No longer helpless…?

I get up each day and go on

Inside my soul I cry

I count the bruises on my hands

When will the new life come?

How would my life be

Without fear and sadness?

How would it feel to be

No longer helpless…?

No love has ever touched

My broken soul and heart

Existence is so dreadful

My presence is very painful

How would my life be

Without fear and sadness?

How would it feel to be

No longer helpless…?
