Being Human
I am not perfect, but I try to be true.
I carry old scars and still walk through the new.
I’ve fallen in silence, I’ve shouted in pain,
Yet after the storm, I rise up again.
I’ve questioned my worth in the depth of the night,
But still found a reason to search for the light.
I’ve broken in places no one ever sees,
And learned how to stand with shaking knees.
I laugh without reason, I cry without shame,
I’ve loved and I’ve lost and felt both the same.
I carry both kindness and anger inside—
A battle of hearts I no longer hide.
I stumble through doubts with grace,
I carry the past but give life its space.
I’m made of mistakes, of stories and skin—
Of all that I lose and all that I win.
So call me imperfect, call me a flame,
A flicker, a shadow, a soul with a name.
For though I am fragile, and sometimes undone,
There’s beauty in simply being human.
