Calling all poets 17 and under! Power Poetry is looking to find the Top Emerging Poets of 2026!
It's easy to feel intimidated and overwhelmed when trying to create a poem, especially if you're just starting out. We know that you're still honing your writing skills and you haven't unlocked your full potential yet. And that's totally okay! In fact, that's why we created this slam especially for you!
What it is: Here's a space for you to share what techniques you've already mastered, and to practice those you're still learning. The best part is that YOU get to decide what you write about. Writing comes from the heart, so write about whatever speaks to you and gets those creative juices flowing.
What you'll win:
- The Top 50 Emerging Poets will be officially published in our newest Annual Emerging Poets e-book!
- A personalized certificate and title of Top Emerging Poet of 2026 on Power Poetry
