Beseech

Location

Are you
so cold?
Barefooted, you
walk on
ice. You are
unaffected by the
bite of the
crystals
dancing in the
turbulent wind.
Snowflakes crown
your head
as you hang
icicles on the
eaves. I’ve
watched you do this
every winter.
The others call you
frozen. But I
have seen you
                 shiver.
