Bleeding Ink

There used to be a line where we would never cross but it suddenly disappeared
50% loser 50% hate
On the floor lays empty bottles
Because the pills won't work
And you act like depression can be treated with a drug.
But the cries for help aren't answered and the scars are covered
Our cries become the words behind a bathroom stall
Our feelings are written down but will never be read
They ruin your day when you're the happiest
Turn off the lights when you shine the brightest
Only broken lies exist
But you can't break a shattered mirror
And you hide from everyone because of the pain and the shame
And that feeling in the back of your mind that this won't be the last drop of tear you'll shed
Feeling worthless like the colors outside of the lines that everyone seems to avoid.
Everyone seems to be on top of the mountain looking down while you look up.
But you can't give up. You can never give up. Because you see a face full of flaws and a body covered in scars even though they're not there.
But they're wrong. They're all wrong. You have to know deep down that you're worth it and feel beautiful because you've made it through four years and you're still standing here. And you are not the names you were called and you are not the word scribbled out in a notebook even if words hurt you more than sticks and stones.
